Chief Diversity Officer
The Inclusive Excellence Blueprint is centered around five guideposts. Each guidepost is further developed with objectives, actions, and an accountability structure.
1. Culture and climate of inclusion
Every member of our community is an essential thread in the fabric of the Gator Nation. We will create a welcoming, equitable, and empowering environment where all faculty, staff, and students feel at home.
2. Access and success
We will create the conditions that encourage a diversity of perspectives to thrive at UF. We will weed out barriers in our recruitment, admissions, and retention systems and cultivate success for all.
3. Accountability and capacity building
Accountability and capacity are the cornerstones of this blueprint. We will ensure that we have the resources and skills needed to build a lasting culture of inclusive excellence. We will create tools to measure our progress.
4. Inclusive policies and practices
Our ways of doing business and our infrastructure will embrace all dimensions of diversity and foster wellbeing. We will ensure that inclusive excellence is a collective responsibility working to protect the most vulnerable in our community and to prepare our students for success in the global economy.
5. Celebration and rewards
Celebrating our progress toward inclusive excellence and rewarding the work required to achieve our goals are critical to our continued momentum. We will ensure that the value of inclusive excellence scholarship and service is recognized, and celebrate the successes that result from this work.
