The Campus Diversity Liaisons (CDLs) are members of the leadership team of each college or business unit. They put the university's inclusive excellence strategy into action at the college and unit level. The CDLs are also networked into the Office of the CDO and they come together to share best practices, brainstorm solutions, and build their competencies in inclusive excellence. H.A.N.D. (Helping Advancement Nurture Diversity) was formed to create and foster a culturally inclusive environment. H.A.N.D. holds quarterly meetings with invited speakers, bi-monthly Culture Club meetings, and has sponsored trainings for Advancement employees.

The College of Journalism and Communications established the CJC Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) Committee--a shared governance group co-chaired by both faculty and staff that advocates toward an inclusive and equitable environment.

Madeline Joseph, Associate Dean for Inclusion and Equity, Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, and Campus Diversity Liaison, is a nationally recognized advocate for IDEA. She was appointed to the American Pediatrics Board of Directors Committee on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion starting January 1, 2021, and was selected to be a fellow in the inaugural Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Equity Matters DEI Leadership Learning Community.
